\u00bfUna reactivaci\u00f3n del EBV (virus de Epstein-Barr) est\u00e1 posiblemente involucrada en Long-COVID? <\/p>\n

El VEB (Virus de Epstein-Barr) es una especie de virus ADN pat\u00f3geno humano, envuelto y bicatenario de la familia Herpesviridae. Tambi\u00e9n conocida como mononucleosis infecciosa, es causada por el virus de Epstein-Barr (EBV), que pertenece a la familia de los herpesvirus. <\/p>\n

Casi m\u00e1s del 80% de la poblaci\u00f3n tiene el virus de la barra de Epstein (EBV) en ellos sin sentir ning\u00fan s\u00edntoma. Otros tienen s\u00edntomas muy graves de hinchaz\u00f3n linf\u00e1tica, dolor de cabeza, dolor de garganta, tensi\u00f3n hep\u00e1tica, hinchaz\u00f3n del bazo y fatiga profunda y prolongada (el llamado SFC).<\/p>\n

Investigaci\u00f3n de larga COVID y EBV de un estudio de EE. UU.<\/h3>\n

Los investigadores dirigidos por Jeffrey Gold de la Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial en los Estados Unidos ahora han investigado (ver Estudio: https:\/\/www.mdpi.com\/2076-0817\/10\/6\/763), qu\u00e9 papel puede desempe\u00f1ar la reactivaci\u00f3n en pacientes con covid prolongado o tambi\u00e9n influir en la intensidad de la enfermedad covid.<\/p>\n

Se encontr\u00f3 reactivaci\u00f3n del VEB en el 66,7% de los 30 pacientes con s\u00edntomas de COVID-19 a largo plazo cuyo estado del VEB se determin\u00f3.<\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan el equipo de investigaci\u00f3n, el ganciclovir es un tratamiento adecuado. Uno de los pocos agentes antivirales de la industria farmac\u00e9utica.<\/p>\n
